Hello there, my name is Ingrid Trollope and I’m an Interactive designer from New Zealand now based in London, England.
Currently I work at British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) in the Research & Concept Development team as a Senior Designer. Based in London, United Kingdom.
Previously I worked at the BBC in the Future Media & Technology Design team as a User Experience and Interactive TV Designer.
Before that I worked at Mind Candy as a Interactive Designer on Moshi Monsters – an interactive online project aimed at the youth market. Mind Candy previously developed one of the first commercial Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) Perplex City.
My last role before I left New Zealand was for a software development company called Intergen on their Interactive team, a role I held since early 2006.
I also contract and consult via my company, www.trumpetdesign.co.nz and am involved with the soon to be famous (or more likely, but hopfully not, infamous…) ideas machine The Company of Others.
I have a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Interactive Design, from Massey University School of Design in Wellington.
I thought since I’m on my Mac most of the time anyway, I might as well report on a few of my observations…
