Best Interaction Design Blogs 2006

January 16th, 2007 · 1 Comment · Design, General, Web Design

While I surfing the net for creative inspiration yesterday I stumbled apon the ‘O Danny Boy’ blog/website by San Francisco based interaction designer Dan Saffer. Saffer had posted what he considered to be the Best Interaction Design Blogs of 2006, I checked out his list and agreed with most of his recommendations! However, I felt a few others deserved to be in the running, so below are my recommendations for the Best Interaction Design Blogs of 2006…

  • Creating Passionate Users – Kathy Seirra’s posts are a pleasure to read! Always insightful and sometimes even hilarious. However, it must be time for a interface refresh… please?
  • Pulse Laser are described very accurately by Rex Sorgatz from www.fimoculous.com as “the kind of nerd that all nerds aspire to be.”
  • History of The Button – A very random yet disturbingly engaging and blog that looks at the interaction designer’s best friend… the button.
  • Bokardo – Josh Porter’s posts are provocative essays on ’social web design’, sometimes (mostly) a bit nerdy but very up to date.
  • Wisdump – tells it like it is. Great for sheer entertainment… I mean readability : )
  • www.boxesandarrows.com – a one-stop-shop for everything and anything UE related. An amazing resource!
  • Drawn.ca – ‘Inspiration is…’ on this website! I visit everyday and am never disappointed – a visual feast!
  • Design Observer – has almost achieved blog perfection… if you don’t read this, you should be!
